Thank you for sharing the treasure map code activity with us on your blog, I hope you found it to be fun and interesting. I think you may have miss understood the activity, you have to create your own cipher clue using the pigpen of your favorite beach on google draw or the step it up challenge where you screen castify explaining how to encrypt and decrypt one of the codes. Do you think you are up for the challenge? I am excited to see what you come up with.

Here is the link to the activity.

My name is Renee and I’m from the Summer Learning Journey Team. Ka pai on this awesome blog post and creating two messages using the pigpen cipher and a slideshow explaining how your cipher works. That is really awesome and helpful to visitors of your blog. Do you think you will use this cipher to send secret messages to your friends and whanau?

For your second message - I can not work out the final word, when I use the pigpen cipher I get “This beach has calbt” - what were you thinking for the last word?

What are your favourite activities to do at the beach? Do you prefer swimming or hanging out on the sand? Personally, I really love to swim but I also enjoy playing beach games like frisbee and touch rugby on the sand.

Ngā mihi nui and keep up the excellent mahi - I can’t wait to see your other posts over the summer.

Thank you for responding to my comment! That is no worries at all about the cipher - now that you have clarified I understand what you were communicating with your code.

I love volleyball as well! I agree it is awesome playing volleyball at the beach because the sand is soft so you can dive for the ball and not be concerned about hurting yourself on the ground.

Keep up all your hard work - I always love seeing your new posts!
