Hauora is a Maori word that describes a person's overall health and well-being.The four dimensions of hauora are often displayed as the four wall of a whare, which provides the stability and strength.The four dimensions are: taha tinana,(physical well being or health)Taha Hinengaro(Mental and Emotional well-being or self-confidence),Taha Whanau (Social well-being or self-esteem)and taha Wairua(spiritual well-being or personal beliefs).
Taha Tinana: how I stay health is to go shower everyday to stay fresh and to smell clean.
I sleep 10 to 12 hours to have a good day or for a game so I don’t fall asleep during the day.
I exercise everyday so I can stay health for the next day because I might eat lollies the next day because I love lollies.
Spiritual well-being: How I stay Like me. I all ways talk samoan to my parent.I always eat samoan food to stay islander person.I always go to my uncle and Aunty house in the holidays and when I am there I feel loved Like my mum and dad treat me at home.
Social well-being: How I feel`.When ever I am on the stage I feel `like peeing in my pants because I am a shy person. I don’t like Eating something that from sick people.
Mental/Emotional well-being and health: So Every day I always eat a fruit at school because my mum pack a fruit for me to eat at school because my mum want me to stay healthy and fit for cross country.
In conclusion, Hauora is when people talk about Mental/Emotional well-being and health,Social well being, Spiritual well-being and there's a word that news to that is called Taha Tinana and it means you have to be very healthy.
